Does the 2020 Honda CR-V Have Android Auto?
Yes. Other than the base LX trim, the 2020 Honda CR-V offers Android Auto™ smartphone integration.
What is Android Auto™?
Android Auto™ gives you control over many of your Android device’s applications through your in-vehicle display, meaning you don’t have to touch or look at your phone to access music streaming, messaging, navigation, and more.
How Do I Set Up Android Auto™ in my 2020 Honda CR-V?
First things first, you’ll need to download the Android Auto™ app to your phone from Google Play. Make sure to pair your phone to Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and that it’s running on the latest software update.
With your vehicle in park, plug your USB connector into the USB smartphone interface and your phone. If your phone has trouble connecting or staying connected, it’s most likely due to an off-brand or damaged cable. In turn, we recommend using an original equipment manufacturer cable!
Once your phone is connected, a consent screen will appear. Select enable once or always enable. From here, a tutorial will display on your phone.
Finally, an Android Auto™ icon should appear on your vehicle’s display audio home screen. Touch the icon and voila – you’re in the Android Auto™ menu!
Using Android Auto™
Intuitively, using Android Auto™ is much like using your Android device – simply touch an icon to open an application. However, the easiest way to access Android Auto™ functions is arguably through the voice-activated Google Assistant, which you can activate by pressing and holding the TALK button on the steering wheel.
